WHAT IS DIEN CHAN ZONE®?
Dien Chan Zone® is a technique originating from Vietnam, adapted and westernized in Italy. Starting from the symptom, a targeted treatment is developed to rebalance and prevent disharmony of all kinds. It can be used both alone and as a complement to allopathic measures.
Dien Chan Zone® comes from the root of Dien Chan, a reflexology that implies the principle that by stimulating one part of the body, another is rebalanced. More precisely, when the skin, as a major sense organ, is stimulated, according to established maps that reflect all the organs of the body, the central and peripheral nervous system, it responds to reach the targeted organ or area.
Dien Chan was established by Professor Bui Quoc Chau who, with no experience in the world of therapy, worked with a group of acupuncturists to experiment, create, and code a therapeutic possibility. Dien Chan is the fruit of his passion for reflexology and Vietnamese medicine which puts the face at the center of everything through massage, stimulation, and knowledge of vital points.
Dien Chan, or “Vietnamese facial reflexology”, is one of the youngest techniques and today it is the simplest and most effective because:
It is performed in one area, the face, where all five sense organs are present.
It allows anyone to work independently at any time and to resolve different disharmonies, every day and as often as they wish.
The body signals a problem to us by means of pain or discomfort. Such a symptom indicates an energy block. Having the possibility of being able to stimulate these areas autonomously throughout the day, it is possible to regulate and re-harmonize the flow of energy.
THE DIEN CHAN TREATMENT IN VIETNAM
Dien Chan was invented in Vietnam through the use of needles on the face but was always intended primarily to reach everyone. The practice was subsequently performed using tools designed by Professor Chau. The tools are used invasively on the face, head, and body, and the execution mode is fast. The stimulation of the points is very painful, at the limit of one’s resistance.
The technique reflects the Vietnamese approach to treatment which contemplates pain as the only means to achieve healing. In the East, the holistic attitude towards health is extremely interesting and recalls our ancient traditions that we have lost in the name of official medicine. However, we are recently recovering such therapies as a “complementary” means of treatment. Our technique is one of them.
We must recognize that in the East some therapies are performed in a much more invasive way than is normal in the West. To recover them and make them usable, we must translate them to meet the needs of the population with whom we wish to share them. We have understood that if the body experiences pain it raises a defensive barrier that further limits the harmonic flow of energy. For this reason, the Vietnamese method cannot be applied in the Western world.
FROM VIETNAM TO THE WEST
The Vietnamese have always been used to treating their faces to solve health problems. Facial massage, in fact, remains a popular aspect of their current culture. Starting from this local behavior, and combining his passion for acupuncture, Professor Chau studied a grid of infinite points and maps (a departure from ancient knowledge) to decipher how the internal organs are placed upon, and connected to, the face. His brilliant and modern intuition led to the depiction of maps for the face and also the body. Therein, Dien Chan in its full application is a 'multi-reflexology'.
Beatrice Moricoli’s mission was to create a completely new technique that would maintain Dien Chan’s roots by adapting to Western culture. The result is an unchanged but decoded technique, adapted and renamed Dien Chan Zone®.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Dien Chan Zone® restores the proper flow of energy in the body. The body signals a problem to us by means of pain or discomfort. Such a symptom indicates an energy block.
An energy block means that there is a difficulty in the circulation of the energy itself along the vital flow that feeds our body. It is never synonymous with disease, but only an important demand for energy (blood, lymphatic, nervous, respiratory, digestive, sexual and / or purely energetic circulation) by one or more organs or systems.
By having the ability to independently stimulate these affected areas throughout the day, we can regulate and encourage the movement of global energies in the body with particular attention to the area that signaled the symptom.
HOW IS IT USED?
This technique is suitable for treating symptoms that occur in an acute, chronic, or preventative form. Every time that we work a symptom, we intervene to affect the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual condition of the recipient with relation to the chosen organ.
In the first instance, we will work in first aid mode with a few minutes treatment to reduce the pain.
In the second instance, for chronic situations, we would work with a treatment of 30 to 60 minutes where the chosen system is worked until we are able to achieve various responses.
In the third case, that of prevention, we focus on the most delicate apparatus that implements an energetic response, such as with an allergy or an intolerance to food or other substance. Once we have identified the affected system, we work to possibly alter the balance of our immune system.
